Are you looking for a way to effectively shade your windows or outdoor areas? Roller awnings are the perfect choice as they are stylish, and adjustable to your needs. Find out more about roller awnings here (also see roller awnings product brochures).
Roller awnings can be defined as any awning that can operate using a roller mechanism (where the awning fabric “rolls” around a winder). Some types of roller awnings that may benefit your windows or outdoor areas include:
Roller awnings are available in a range of fabrics including canvas, acrylic, and sunscreen fabrics. There is a huge range of colours and patterns available to suit your home, and some awnings come with cassettes or head boxes that protect the awning when it is fully retracted or rolled away. The hardware used with the awnings can be colour coordinated to match the awning itself or the colour scheme of your home.
Roller awnings can be manually operated using your hands, a special hooked stick, a chain operator, or a crank winder, or you can choose to have them motorised. Motorised roller awnings can be operated from a switch on the wall or by a remote control. If you opt for motorised roller awnings, you can attach a timer that specifies when the awning is rolled out and rolled back in again. You can also attach sensors that automatically roll out the awning when it is sunny, and roll it back in again when wind or rain reaches a preset level inside the sensor, preventing damage occurring.
