When it’s clean, you hardly notice it’s there. But when it’s grimy, glass pool fencing sticks out like…well…dirty glass.
So how do you keep your glass pool fencing clean and unseen?
Just follow these top tips:
If you’ve tried to use a general glass cleaner on your pool fence, you may have noticed smudges left behind. That’s because glass pool fencing is a special material that can’t be cleaned with a normal spray.
The best way to clean your glass pool fencing is with a clean cloth and warm water. Be sure to use a non-abrasive microfiber cloth.
Cleaning a glass pool fence is far easier when you keep on top of it. Every few months is best, to keep dirt and grime at bay.
If there’s a lot of build-up on the glass, you may need to use a mix of washing liquid in warm water. Apply the soapy water to a sponge and move it across the glass as though you’re washing dishes. Then simply hose the soapsuds off and you’re glass will look as good as new.
There’s no need to use a towel or wipe to dry the glass pool fencing. Just leave it to mother nature!
Some glass manufacturers offer a coating, which guards the glass from muck. This can be applied after the fence has been installed.
The rails, posts and balustrades may also need a quick clean from time to time. Use a soft cloth with a little water and wipe clean. Steer clear of chemicals and abrasive wipes. Powder-coated posts usually need to be cleaned with methylated spirits or turps – but check with the manufacturer first.
