PORT JARRAH IS THE NATURAL CHOICE
The story behind the location
Port Jarrah is located near the Indian ocean and the historic seaport of Fremantle. The ambience of this extraordinary place has influenced my furniture collections. Fremantle is a place where the old style meets a vibrant cosmopolitan lifestyle and where people appreciate natural materials and quality craftsmanship.
Western Australian hardwoods
Our summer climate is responsible for sweeping bush fires, the effects of this natural phenomenon are reflected in some outstanding furniture pieces including our stunning Marri, Jarrah and Sheoak dining tables. Take home a unique and historical piece of Western Australian timber today, just visit our gallery and you will appreciate the value of Jarrah, Sheaok, Marri, Blackbutt and Wandoo timbers.
Our Environmental Policy
From our beginnings in 1998 we have been committed to using recycled Jarrah as our table legs from old house stumps which could be up to four to five hundred years old. We have scoured the countryside gathering timber from old bridges, jetties, and old houses, & other demolished buildings.
All our giant slabs are from fallen timber which usually from storm damage, road clearing and farmer's paddocks. We are also looking into using environmentally friendly, water based finishes on our furniture.
In commissioning work you can always specify recycled timber.
