Some questions for you to think about when it comes to getting your WATERPROOF MEMBRANE installed.
During my many years as a Builder, we also did work for Insurance Companies. We repaired too many water leaks.
I know what it means if you get a water leak in one of your projects. $$$$$$$$ the ugly word that hits hard, then you ask : why wasn’t it done right the first time. ??? !!!!!!!
Also, we get a lot of calls to “Fix Up” bad caulking that was done by someone who thought – Oh that’s easy – I’ll do it myself. This ends up costing you a lot more, (even if doesn’t leak)

When it comes to Waterproofing, you name it - we do it, from the beginning through to the end of your projects.

Here are some points to consider for Membrane Installations:
Q.1. Do you require a WATERPROOF MEMBRANE that is installed correctly and neatly so there is minimal cleaning after tiles have been laid. An example of this might be the areas that are “seen”, such as, the outside edges of the shower-base at finished floor level and the internal upturn edge below tiles or the wall above the tile line in a wet area. These are the areas we mask off and protect where the membrane is not required and should not be. During our caulking operations, where we work over the top of other membranes, we constantly find these typical mistakes.
Q. 2. Do you require a service second to none, we actually attend when we say we will. As long as the area is ready for our expert treatment, we will perform the waterproofing in the most expedient manner.
We personally inspect every job prior to installing a membrane, this way we can all be confident the correct system is being used that will accommodate the type of construction. Our quotation is then accurate and you don’t get that other ugly word - extra’s, loaded on top (unless you ask for them).
Q. 3. Do you require a system that will remain as a permanent barrier to water ingress. We only use accredited products for major suppliers so you can be assured of a quality product and a compliant installation process. Our business has been installing waterproofing systems for over 25yrs, so there is a wealth of experience that our installers have.
Q. 4. Do you require a Guarantee in writing that you can pass on to your clients at handover, giving you and your client the peace of mind that the system installed is Guaranteed for 10 yrs against faulty products or faulty installation.
As part of our Quality Assurance service, we take before and after digital images of the area/s being waterproofed.
These images are kept on file should the need arise for a review of the membrane and the installation procedure.
After we have completed the waterproofing, we install barrier tapes and NO GO signs. These have a removable section which is signed by yourself or your representative and faxed back to us after the required curing time has elapsed. This ensures the surfaces are not compromised by foot traffic or by applying tiles, etc, too early.
