About Us
Affinity Electrical Technologies was established in 2000 after a Canberra local (Brendan Read) decided to start his own electrical contracting company. Since then we have enjoyed steady growth through a combination of great service, competitive pricing and a flexibility offered by a committed team. We haven't forgotten our roots and still compete on small jobs but have also shown our ability to complete large commercial projects.
We employ 29 electricians and have 20 service vehicles on the road, giving us flexibility to respond to any work within the ACT and surrounding areas. We are licensed in both the ACT and NSW and also hold AUSTEL license and master cabler's certificates for voice and data work.
Our aim is to tie in with customer requirements and offer a 24hr 365 day a year service to our larger customers. We offer a 4hr turn around on urgent work and we have provided service to government agencies since our inception. Affinity Electrical Technologies sources and uses only the best quality materials, and provides a 6 month warranty on all parts that we require, including quick delivery for more obscure items. Our suppliers include Popes Electrical and Data, Project Lighting and multinational company, Lawrence and Hansen. We will continue to stick with our formula and look after our customer needs.

A.E.T maintains strict OH&S policies and site specific OHSR&E (Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Plans) for all of its work.
A.E.T has completed Quality Assurance (AS/NZS ISO9001-2000: Quality Management requirements) and holds a current ACT Government Pre-qualification Certificate which has been 2nd party certified. Contractor Licence Number 200413829.
Domestic Projects
Affinity Electrical Technologies has both a very efficient and effective domestic team. Each electrician within our company has cut his teeth on domestic work and all have an intimate understanding of the Domestic Electrical System. We perform all electrical work inside the house, including the maintenance and installation of lighting, hot water systems and heating. We also provide other services, such as, Antenna repairs and installations, washing machine and clothes dryer repairs, and telephone installation.

Data Cabling
AET is proficient in the supply and installation of data services. AET is Clipsal certified and through this is able to offer a lifetime warranty on installations. By using the latest lantek tester, AET is able to certify any cabling installation to the highest standard. AET has completed a category 6 installation at the Turkish Embassy (see photos below). At the Gunghalin Family and Childcare Centre, the C-Class cabinet AET installed, met all intact specifications.

Affinity Electrical Technologies has a proven track record in minor electrical services for public and private clients throughout the ACT and NSW.
Affinity Electrical Technologies has developed a sophisticated job monitoring system which enables us real time access to job progress information. This provides us with an up to date record of outstanding jobs and completed work.
