The Practice
The practice based in Sydney was formally setup by Simon Anderson in 2002. The firm excels in sustainable architecture that is modern & contemporary in design.
The methodology
The methodology to achieve this utilises Simon’s sixteen years of professional experience which places an equal emphasis on theory and site based experiences. Focusing primarily on residential projects, the office promotes a collaborative approach with clients. The design is informed by sustainable principles while being flexible with the clients perceived and real constraints.
The processes
The processes involved in realising architecture are complex, time consuming and often non linear, they are however ultimately rewarding. To produce architecture clients require advise & input on many competing issues within budgetary and time constraints. Anderson Architecture can help you find the right balance ensuring the process is fruitful.
Services and Stages
The following services and stages occur on most projects, beginning with a schematic design stage. This stage provides a number of options based on the clients brief. These options are then assessed by the client and developed ready for the next stage. The development application stage prepares a submission which will seek council and other authority approvals. Once approved the project moves into the construction documentation stage ready for tendering and a certifiers ‘construction certificate’ approval. The construction stage can then commence where Anderson architecture administer a contract between the selected builder and the client.
