Profile - During Marion’s architectural studies at the Queensland Institute of Technology, she worked for several prominent architectural practices in Brisbane gaining a broad experience in a diverse range of projects including galleries, museums, exhibitions spaces, building refurbishments and office interiors.
After graduating, Marion pursued her interest in retail design and worked for the international company IKEA, as an in-house design manager. Marion then broadened her interiors experience working for a well-known Brisbane architect on several large corporate office fitouts.
Marion’s interest in professional practice and design has also led to several contracts lecturing and tutoring in these subjects to interior design and architectural students at QUT and the (then) Queensland College of Art.
Marion is a senior architect responsible for interior design and commercial fitout projects as well as having a heavy involvement with the design and documentation of large residential and commercial projects.
With an interior design background, her architecture prioritises the integration of internal and external spaces with emphasis on tailoring space planning, the use of materials and finishes and climatic considerations to the user’s specific requirements.
Detailed consideration of the way people will use a space is considered to be essential. Interest in the use of colour and in furniture design augment Marion’s skills in interior design and architecture.

Profile - While studying at the Queensland Institute of Technology, Robert worked with a leading Brisbane practice gaining unique experience on projects such as the Qld. Cultural Centre, St. Stephen’s Cathedral Redevelopment, Newspaper House refurbishment, The Post Office Square Development, Ipswich City Square and two pavilions at Expo 88.
When establishing his own practice Robert’s previous studies in Environmental Science have directed his work in several areas, such as: the consideration of buildings as contextual elements; the development of efficient space and resource conserving design; the comparative effects of materials and construction techniques on the environment, as well as maintenance and economics of buildings; the development of efficient climatic design; the consideration of buildings as integrated internal and external environments.

Profile - Margaret is the principal of Margaret Ward Architects and works in association with Biscoe Wilson Architects.
Margaret is a senior architect with experience in an wide range of residential building works and specialized medical and commercial tenancy fit-out projects.
Margaret is concerned with the appropriate integration of a design within the context of a project’s locality and in emphasisng a sense of place through reflection in the built form. She has brought her design skill and attention to detail to projects completed in remote rural Queensland, on the Moreton Bay islands and throughout the urban fabric of Brisbane city.
Her work in areas such as Residential Heritage projects reflects how her attention to fine detail, her thorough understanding of local council laws and her appreciation of conservation ideals, together with her design expertise accommodates the client’s brief and produces exceptional results.

Profile - Melinda has recently registered as an architect after working in a number of architectural practices specialising in residential design. Melinda has a particular focus on residential work and is skilled in manual drafting as well as the use of ArchiCAD and AutoCAD software.
Melinda has been part of the Biscoe Wilson team since 2003 and has been involved as project architect on a prestige riverfront residential project as well as being involved in design, documentation and contract documentation on numerous residential projects requiring a high level of attention to architectural detail and close collaboration with clients and builders.
Melinda’s role in the Laguna Village project would be as design architect as well as being part of the documentation team. Her core skills in high quality residential work and attention to fine detail will make here a valuable team member on this project.

Profile - Nadia Watson is a recent graduate from QUT, who commenced with Biscoe Wilson Architects in early 2004. Prior to commencing with our firm Nadia had worked for a number of architectural practices in Brisbane. During her time with these firms a she has worked on a variety of projects both commercial and residential - particularly medium density residential and has become skilled with the creation of presentation and construction documentation both manually and with CAD programs.
Since commencing with Biscoe Wilson Architects Nadia has extended her experience in these areas and in particular with ESD residential projects.
Nadia also tutors and lectures at QUT in History, Contemporary Theory and Architectural Research.

Profile - Ray has specialised in Architectural CAD drafting for the past 7 years and has specialist skills in using ArchiCAD and Artlantis. His ability in producing architectural renderings and animations will be invaluable in visualising design solutions for this project.
Ray has a high level of expertise in detailed documentation for construction documents and the quality of his work is often commented on by contractors for its accuracy and clarity.
Curriculum Vitae: ANITA JAMES - Administration Manager
Profile - Anita has been an employee of Biscoe Wilson Architects for many years. Her experience and familiarity with all aspects of our office procedures and systems ensure that channels of communication and document management are both efficient and expedient.
Anita is responsible for the implementation of an Information Technology System tailored to each project. Protocol for documentation formats between consultants will be established to enable a seamless design and documentation process.
Anita James also assists Robert and Marion directly on administration issues.
