WHAT IS GRC?
GRC stands for Glass-fibre Reinforced Concrete. It is the generic term for a high-strength composite stone made up of cement mortar (a mixture of cement and sand-size aggregate) reinforced with bundled strands of glass fibres (usually around 25-35mm long).
The term "concrete" is technically correct but misleading because the glass fibres in the mortar (5% by weight) greatly increase product strength while dramatically reducing product weight because of the much thinner but stronger wall sections.
GRC products will not shatter upon impact, are highly durable and are unaffected by weather or UV light.
NON-POROUS GRC
Concrete products including GRC are somewhat porous by their very nature. However, Quatro Design GRC products are self-sealing when exposed to water. They contain an additive that forms a crystalline structure deep within the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete matrix. This permanently seals the product against the penetration of water from any direction.
Our standard colours are white, sandstone and charcoal. We can, however, manufacture products in other colours on special request.

ZEN BOWL RANGE
Ideal as planters and as water features. Available in White, Sandstone and Charcoal.
ZEN SHALLOW BOWLS
Made with the smooth mould surface on the inside/topside surface. Shallow bowls include a circular plinth (not included in 1800mm bowl). They can be made with a recessed pump well in the base and are also available with pouring lips.
ZEN DEEP BOWLS
Made with the smooth mould surface on the outside. Available in white, sandstone and charcoal.
ZEN PLANTER RANGE
Available in White, Sandstone and Charcoal.
QUATRO TABLE RANGE
Available in White, Sandstone and Charcoal. All tables include a simple frame assembly which provides even spacing and stability to the pedestals. Complete Table Set includes Two Pedestal Bases (L 600 x W 200 x H 720)
WATER-FEATURES
Virtually all of Quatro Design's GRC planters and bowls can be easily transformed into water-features.
We can supply pump, projecting blade and fittings for easy setup and installation.
