Heine Architects Pty Limited is a small home based Architectural practice located in Avalon Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I established my company in 1997. With over 50 years experience in Architecture in 4 countries, and qualifications in both Architecture and Town Planning, I can offer experience and expertise in most fields of the profession.
I have a background in Architectural Conservation (I was Project Architect for The Rice Daubney Group for the restoration of the Queen Victoria Building) and was an examiner in professional practice for the Architect’s Accreditation Council of NSW for about 18 years.
Mine is a small practice, and I like to keep it that way, because it enables me to offer a personal service to my clients.
I believe that buildings must be functional and practical, and must blend into and fit with their surroundings. This is most important on the Northern Beaches, but it is a philosophy that I think is probably universal. I also believe that alterations and additions should be in sympathy with the original building, and if appropriate, should look as if they have always been part of it.
