The Name
As an indication of the personal attention every project receives, I used my own name for the name of my architectural practice.
Scope of Projects Undertaken
The practice scope is private residential (new homes and renovations), and small commercial projects.

Design Philosophy
Pragmatic application of classic design principles of aesthetics, and consideration of relevant environment aspects including climate control. Aiming to provide clients with the best possible outcome from their ideas and requirements within budget and site constraints.

Introductory Services (Getting Started - feasibility & concept design)

Bring project details to my office. The first 45 minutes are free.
- Single consultation
One on-site consultation with a follow-up letter confirming advice - $550 incl gst
- 2 meeting consultation
Meeting 1 on-site for project briefing, Meeting 2 for presentation of a design concept (plan & 3D view + information about necessary approvals and preparation for building) $1,750 incl gst
- 3 meeting consultation
Meeting 1 on-site for project briefing, Meeting 2 for an interactive exploration of ideas with sketches as a medium for discussion. Meeting 3 in my office for a presentation of the design concept (plan & 3D view + information about necessary approvals and preparation for building) $2,250 incl gst.
- Add-on services you may require:
- Calculated opinion of probable cost, including
JSA arranges for a cost opinion to be prepared by an independent cost consultant. (fee varies with project - subject to quotation)
- Provide an accurate measured drawing of existing building (for renovations)
- Cost for plans of a typical suburban home $550 incl gst
- Add $350 for elevations as well
- Obtain site information from state and local govt sources $350
- Title plan from Dept Natural Resources
- Drainage plan from local authority
- Contour, zoning and other information from local authority
