The Mikkelsen family who are the owners of open shutters were inspired by the beauty of timber shutters and decided that between them they had the skills to bring handcrafted cedar timber shutters to the forefront of design in Australia. together they developed new products and enhanced the tradition of shutters. This combination has seen a small company expand into a nation-wide operation, a “family” of now over 100 people, offering customers personalized service, backed by an experienced team.
