FAQ
What is direct staining?
Direct staining is when a stain is applied directly over a raw timber floor; thus penetrating into the timber creating a deep and even look. A minimum of three approved coatings is then applied to complete the look.
How do I get the exact colour I want?
Because there are so many timber species to choose from; each having their own colour and texture, a timber sample of the floor we are staining is given to us (usually by the customer or the architect) with the desired colour that has been chosen. We are able to match that colour precisely; making sure you get what you want the first time around.
What is the time frame from start to finish?
Depending on the size of the area that has to be stained, it usually takes half a day to a day to complete. However, sanding and polishing has to take place after our staining is complete which is an additional two to three days.
