Shibui is an esoteric japanese word with no english counterpart. It means serene, elegant, ultra refined, appropriate, rich but never ostentatious.
Shibu is a translucent sculptured screen giving filtered light and an ever changing mood in texture and ambience not available in any other window furnishing.
Shibui gives privacy, ventilation and protection from harsh sunlight. Shibui screens contain ultra violet stabiliser so Shibui screens will not fade or perish.
Shibui screens provide thermal insulation which reduces heat in summer and retains heat in winter.
Shibui screens are manufactured with anti-static properties and therefore require little or no cleaning.
Shibui is not easily stained, unlike the short life fabric curtains and venetian blinds.
Should cleaning become necessary, Shibui screens can be easily taken down by means of the quick release track clamps and washed with a garden hose.
