Diana Keeffe is a Redland City-based Building Designer who owns and operates her own business, Redplan (formerly Redlands Plan Service). With over 30 years experience, she is an expert at creating designs with both style and substance. Diana is a chartered member of the Building Designers Association and holds the highest level of licence from the Building Services Authority (QBSA License No. 6571 1).
With such a wealth of design experience, Diana is focused on providing her clients with personalised residential designs that are based on adaptable and sustainable housing principles. The Queensland Government's Department of Housing has identified a number of drivers for sustainable housing: (a) the growing and ageing population, (b) technological changes, (c) changing family structures, (d) increased environmental awareness, and (e) a more discerning market. In order to respond to this market, Diana creates designs that address social, economic, and environmental sustainability factors. This results in safe and secure universal designs that are cost- and resource-efficient.
If you choose to build a new home, Diana will:
- offer you a complementary appointment to discuss your project and how she can assist you,
- provide you with a complementary information pack,
- show you a portfolio of her professional work as evidence of her capabilities,
- provide you with a written BDAQ contract of service that stipulates the cost and extent of works of the project,
- provide you with documentation for other industry consultants (such as surveyors, engineers, etc.),
- provide detailed designs that are documented to industry standards, which you can then take to builders to obtain basic quotes, and
- provide detailed working drawings that are documented to industry standards.
Diana also offers personalised on-site renovation and addition advice. She can save you thousands of dollars by spending time with you to discuss your options or how to rearrange the existing spaces you already have to alleviate the need for renovations or additions altogether. If you would prefer some on-site advice, Diana will spend several hours with you to resolve your design issues for a prearranged fee (usually between $200 and $300).
