Introduction:
52ndstreet design studio was established in 1988. A boutique, multi-discipline architectural practice, we service the greater Geelong area, including the Bellarine Peninsula and Surfcoast. The practice consists of a small team of qualified but non-registered Architects; however, we are Registered Building Practitioners and therefore able to provide a full range of architectural services. We are also members of the Building Designer Association of Victoria.
Philosophy:
To our practice, architecture is more than just an art form. It is a way of life, an expression of individuality and a reflection of our intention to continue to evolve. Through architectural languages and devices, born from the amazing architectural masterpieces of the world, we strive to create unique contemporary forms that are both elegant and functional, and that are sympathetic to the ever-changing needs of the people that occupy them.
We pride ourselves on producing architecture that respects not only the landscape in which it is placed but also our clients spatial requirements and resulting built form. Our client’s involvement through every stage of a commission is paramount in the emergence of the architectural piece and is a fundamental element of our design principles, which are based on having a thorough understanding and interpretation of a client’s design brief.
Services Provided:
At 52ndstreet design studio, we are experienced in designing and documenting residential, mult-residential, commercial and industrial buildings. However, the majority of our commissions are residential.
We offer a complete design and documenting service, which consist of various stages. These stages are as follows:-

• Schematic Design
• Design Development
• Planning Documentation
• Tender Documents
• Contract Documentation
• Contract Administration
• Post Contract Administration
We also offer in-house 3D Visualisation, which ranges from simple conceptual modelling to complex rendered modelling, depending on the allowable budget.
Services not specifically itemised above are to conform to AS4122-2000 “General conditions of contract for engagement of consultants”.
Our services also extend to liaison with and engaging other consultants that are generally required for particular projects. These may include but not limited to:-
