A plunge pool is defined as being a swimming pool that is small in size but deep, with the water being as deep as 1.6 meters. They are specifically designed to fit in small spaces such as a courtyard, or smaller backyard, They use all the same equipment as larger pools such as pimps, filtration, skimmers, seating, steps and ladders, etc.
While plunge pools are similar in size, they come in a range of shapes and materials. The most common shape for plunge pools is round, but they can also be square, rectangular, oval, or a geometric shape. The most common material options are concrete and fibreglass.
Plunge pools can also be above ground (freestanding) or completely in ground.
