If you are getting a new extension or addition built on your property, you’ll know that you have to engage the services of several different professionals. Getting the professional that you need at the right time can be a job that’s fraught with difficulties but you can save yourself the hassle by organising a project manager to take care of everything for you. Here’s some more info.
When you are building an extension or addition, you’d be surprised at the professionals that you need throughout the process. You may need to consult builders, structural engineers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, tilers, floorers, painters, landscapers and architects in extensions projects. Each on e of these professionals are needed at a certain stage in the building project, and if they are delayed or scheduled in the wrong order, it can screw up the entire project, causing it to be delayed, blowing out the costs, or worse.
Don’t try and undertake it all yourself. Your builder can act as a project manager or you can hire an architectural project manager. You are also able to get a professional project manager. The advantage of using a project manager is that they will coordinate all aspects of the project: planning the project, controlling the budget, coordinating all of the professionals so that they are on site when needed, and ensuring that the whole project runs smoothly. The project manager will work right from the beginning of the extension or addition right through to completion.
