As you may know, the government is gradually phasing out the analogue TV broadcast signals, meaning that you will need a set top box or a new TV in order to receive the new digital channels. As well as the new equipment, you will need to ensure that your antenna is capable of receiving and transmitting the digital signals to your TV. This can require the installation of new digital TV points. Here’s some more information.
A TV point is the plug in the wall where actually plug your TV or set top box into the homes antenna system. These TV points need to be ready to receive digital signals as analogue signals are slowly being phased out and will be fully obsolete by 2013. If your TV points need upgrading, an antenna specialist can do it for you. They will upgrade and replace your existing points as needed and add new TV points where necessary (perfect if you want TV in the bedroom but didn’t have a point there before). They will also check all of the antenna cabling and upgrade it as appropriate and check the antenna itself.
Having the new points checked and upgraded will be done at a reasonable cost and you can be sure that you will be able to plug in your TV or set top box and get excellent digital images with nothing else to do.
