Is your carpet looking faded, tired, or perhaps you’ve accidentally spilled bleach or some other substance on your carpet? That doesn’t mean that you have to pull it all up and put new carpet down! If your carpet is in sound condition otherwise, why not have it re-dyed? Here’s some more information.
Carpet dyeing can be used for carpets that look worn, tired, faded, stained, have had bleach spilled on them, or are too light to be practical. The dye is available in a range of colours so you can choose a more modern, practical colour, and it can be used on wool or nylon carpets. Of course, you can also have the carpets dyed back to their original colour. To check if your carpet can be dyed, you will need to do a patch test. If the colour runs, your carpet is not suitable but if it stays, it can be dyed.
The first part step is to have the carpets thoroughly cleaned by the dyeing professional. They then dye the carpet the colour that you have chosen using special equipment that they have. Once completed, the carpets are colourfast straightaway but they will take 24 to 48 hours to completely dry.
Your carpets can be cleaned as normal after the dyeing process but they are still susceptible to the same problems as normal carpet such as fading and staining. The best part about carpet dyeing is that you can make your current carpets last years longer, at a fraction of the cost of replacin
