They will act as a Principal Certifying Authority (PCA) and liaise with the council to ensure that your work will meet all of their necessary standards. They will gather plans and documentation that relate to your work and submit them. If council require any changes, they can take care of ensuring that they are made. Once your development application has met all of the requirements and has been approved, you can go ahead and get the construction certificate that actually allows you to start work.
