These are all built by a craftsman making sure that you, the client have a piece of Timber furniture that not only is unique, but it is designed to best suit your needs and lifestyle.
The Hardwood Refinery have a wide range of Australian Timbers such as Murray River Red gum, Jarrah, Blackbutt, Tasmanian Blackwood, Ironbark, Sydney Blugum just to name a few.
The Hardwood Refinery is located on the western shores of the beautiful Lake Macquarie, just a short drive from Newcastle.

The Story Behind the Furniture
Grant Rix is the designer & maker here at The Hardwood Refinery.
Grant is passionate about his work and has a love of working with Australian Hardwood timbers. These timbers have a natural beauty and wonderful diversity making each piece a one of a kind. Grant prides himself on his attention to detail and this can easily be seen in the quality of his workmanship.
Most of the timber used in our furniture has been sourced from private landholders that have turned there old dead trees blown down in storms into valuable furniture grade kiln dried Hardwood Timber.
Some of the timber has been recycled from old factories, buildings and warehouses that have been demolished. These old timbers have fantastic colour and character, and this also adds a sense of history before it enters your life as a magnificent piece of Furniture.
