ABOUT SAA: Sandhya Aryaratne’s free-lance practice since 1985 was formalized in to SAA in 1992 in Sri Lanka and in 2004 in Australia.
SAA takes pride in having provided complete architectural services for several Hotels, Office Buildings, Factories, Warehouses, Library, Medical Clinics, Shop fitout, Housing Scheme and over 80 houses during this tenure.
Apart from excellence in above project areas, Sandhya is well experienced in specialist design areas such as Aged Care, Health & Education (secondary & Tertiary).
Sandhya is a Registered Architect in Victoria Australia & an Associate Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects.
Sandhya’s academic qualifications consist of a M. Arch. from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland (with major in Housing & Urban Design), M.Sc (Architecture) and B.Sc (Built Environment) from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
Sandhya is the first recipient of the prestigious Award – Geoffrey Bawa Travel Scholarship awarded for Excellence in Design.
In addition to being a practitioner , Sandhya has been a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka for twelve years..
