Biography
Colby’s original trade was tiling. Colby has project managed both residential and commercial refurbishments, including large scale refurbishments of London Underground stations. He ran the teams, was responsible for site safety in high risk live rail installations, and worked closely with the main contractors and other trades to deliver heritage standard tiling ahead of schedule in demanding environments.
In between the larger projects, Colby also ran his own tiling business for top end luxury renovations in London’s SW1. Concentrating on limestone, marble, and mosaics, this soon expanded to accommodate all aspects of residential renovations.
Colby enjoyed the variety and greater scope of the work and has continued working on renovations upon his return to Australia with his wife.

Another part of the project was to widen the entrance to our ground floor brick wall garage – Colby installed my custom designed galvanised beam to support the house above, and competently communicated and delivered structural adjustments as necessary. He also designed, built and installed a bespoke extra wide tilt lift garage door. Colby can turn his hand to anything we have presented to him and has enjoyed the challenges – we have also found him to respect his work place and the fact the we are living there whilst the renovations are happening.
