With over 20 years experience working on the design and decor of some Port Douglas’ most iconic residential properties and commercial developments, Uta Prentice has built an established reputation not only in Port Douglas, but nationally and internationally.

Tim Ellis joined Uta in January 2008, having previously worked extensively in the field of design in London and Europe.

Port Douglas Interiors have a retail shop attached to the Sheraton Mirage Resort selling decor items and furniture, and there is also have a large design studio carrying sampling and displays for furnishings, fabrics, window treatments, hardware and finishes, we are also the local representatives for Dedon furniture and Verosol Blinds among others. The dedicated team consists of local carpenters, painters, upholsterers, sewers, electricians, plumbers, manufacturers etc.

Whether you require a full home make-over or simply want a few new cushions for a quick and easy home-style update, a studio consultation with an experienced decorator will inspire and delight you. When working with a client we usually start with an initial consultation to discuss requirements, budget and styles. Following that we put together a concept and quote package, with itemised pricing and art boards showing the furniture, fabrics, colours etc. Upon acceptance of the package and quote, we organise and oversee all of the works, deliveries & installations using our vast team of tradespeople and suppliers. For the initial concept and quote we charge a nominal design fee which depends on the scope of the project, thereafter all the pricing includes our services.
