Building Surveying
Building Regulatory Audits
We have been asked to audit and provide BCA advice on a large number of existing buildings throughout Victoria. This work ranges from Healthcare through to building audits on ski lodges, residential accommodation buildings such as backpackers, motels and aged care facilities as well as residential buildings.
Building Permits and Advice
SPa Building Surveyors provide Building Regulatory advice, negotiate modifications and alternative solutions to the Building Regulations, advise Architects and Project Managers on Building Regulatory matters, provide advice during the design process, issue building approvals and carry out relevant building inspections. We have provided services to all areas within both private and Government sectors.
Domestic
SPa Building Surveyors have an established clientele of domestic builders, Architects and designers who utilise our expertise with domestic construction. Our senior staff have an enviable range of experience with domestic construction and can assist all types of enquiries with regard to domestic construction.
Commercial
SPa Building Surveyors have issued building permits and consulted on a large number of commercial projects ranging from small factories through to multi storey residential projects and large hospitals. The Director has over 20 years experience with commercial Building Surveying and have a long standing established client base that rely on our expertise in this field.
Disabled Persons access and Mobility
All organizations have a responsibility, under the Federal Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), to provide equitable access to goods and services and to premises used by the public. The Building Code of Australia, in conjunction with the DDA and Australian Standard (AS1428) – Design for Access and Mobility, applies to new buildings and to buildings undergoing significant refurbishment or alteration. SPa Building Surveyors have qualified access consultants on staff who can assist with all queries regarding this topic.
We can ensure that the comprehensive definitions and requirements of the DDA, the BCA and AS1428 are considered in any refurbishment, development or change to any premises to provide equitable access to buildings, outdoor spaces, car parking areas, pathways and facilities etc.
