About Us
Pacific Home Improvements in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia is an independent home improvements company specialising in a wide range of home convenience products for both internal and external fitting.
Established in 1986 as a specialised supplier of superb product, we have been in the same main road Cairns premises for around 12 years and some of our staff have been with us for longer than this.
As your home improvement company our policy is, "If we cannot do it correctly we prefer not to do it." This may sound arrogant but we pride ourselves on using only top grade products in the widest range available, backed by service like you won't believe, and with a warranty that is benchmark in our industry.
Backed by some of the largest and best suppliers in the country, we carefully select a range of product that is not always the lowest priced, but certainly are the best value in their fields. If it does not shape up we do not use it - period.

Our Sunlouvre Systems are extra strong. More stringers, more supports. Great for both sunscreening and adding privacy.

If you like the look or feel of a twin wall polycarbonate awning, check out the undercover eating area at new McDonalds Smithfield. The polycarbonate roof was erected by a team from Pacific.

Skylights have progressed over the last few years in that the new generation of skylights offer superb performance, and for the first time, natural blue-white light. No longer is your choice a large or a small skylight. With a choice of over 150 different types, Pacific are able to custom specify a skylight with a light output tailored to suit your particular requirements.
While we at Pacific prefer to use top of the line cyclone rated high performance Skydome models, your choice includes a number of non-cyclone rated models from Regent and Redcliffe all with flexible ducts.

- Up to 95% specular reflective high performance mirrored shafts versus around 40% reflective flexible shafts of other makes.
- Little light loss where longer drops are required - our skylight's output are roughly double that of flexible ducts over longer drops.
- Mirrored ducts so good that we can take light from the roof, through the top floor to the lower level with little loss of light.
- Combination units for bathrooms and kitchens, including a skylight, fan and electric light in one ceiling unit.
- No measurable heat gain.
