McPeake Builders is an amalgamation of family based building & construction companies that has its roots back in the mid 1950’s.

Starting when the head of lighthouse maintenance in South Australia, Neil McPeake, decided to form a small building company in 1957 the current company, headed by sons Mark & Brett McPeake, has evolved into a modern proactive specialist building & construction organization. The tradition continues with Mark's sons Chase & Todd employed as carpenters by and learning the family business from their father & uncle.
Specializing in high quality architectural alterations / additions and new homes we have successfully completed homes for many of South Australia’s prominent architectural firms.
More recently the group has focused on energy efficient sustainable housing with Energy Architecture and in this vein is building its own show home at the Beyond Project at Victor Harbor.McPeake Builders offers high quality workmanship using the latest environmentally friendly materials & work practices.
It is our aim to have clients recommend us to their friends, relatives & peers which has also been our best and only form of advertising.At McPeake Builders the health and welfare of clients and all persons employed on or visiting our sites is a high priority.

How to Start the Building Process
First contact us by email [email protected] telephone 0418 818360 or fax (08) 8251 6372.
We will then organise for one of our staff, all of whom have a hands-on trade background, to visit your home or the site of the proposed works and assess your requirements with reference to the relevant site. From this point there are two options.
If you have plans, specifications & engineering we can give you a quote for the job usually within 10 working days but this does depend on the size of the job.
If you are starting from scratch we will work with you through the whole process from draft plans that fit your budget to final design, selections, costings and construction of your dream. It is a process that we take a hands-on approach to throughout so that you get personalised service from the same person from start to finish.
Alterations, Additions & Home Improvements
Specialists in high quality alterations/additions & home improvements McPeake Builders endeavours to make any new works blend with existing construction so as not to give the ‘added on’ effect.
This aspect of construction has, for many years, been our main business. Our managerial & supervision teams have over 65years combined experience in this field and we have access to many specialist trades people that are able to make difficult out of the ordinary jobs happen with a minimum of fuss.
High quality architectural work is our specialty and as the degree of difficulty raises so does our expectation of quality. Bear in mind that such finesse does not come at bargain prices and that while we may not be your cheapest option we will deliver a quality product that will serve you well for many years after you have forgotten its cost.

Specializing in medium density environmentally sustainable developments situated within about 30 minutes travel of the CDB we mainly cater for the buyer looking to downsize from the large family home to a easily maintained high quality home with all the creature comforts that one would expect in a modern home.
