Kingborough Carpet Care started servicing the Kingborough area in 1996 as a small business with only 1 person running the whole business. Since then we have watched our business grow and now service many happy clients all over southern Tasmania . We have loyal, friendly employees who are only too happy to Solve Your Cleaning Problems.
We have 4 certified carpet cleaning technicians with over 20 years experience between them.
We only use environmentally friendly products and approved cleaning methods. We ALWAYS clean carpets according to the Australian standard for carpet restoration practice using a hot water extraction method, other wise known as steam cleaning.

As part of our service you can simply drop off your rugs to us and you will be called when it is ready to be collected or we can offer a courier service.

Kingborough Carpet Care is often asked to provide domestic cleaning services because of our experienced and thorough staff, range of equipment and eye for detail. This service is provided in circumstances such as the presentation of a property for sale, the cleaning of a rental property between tenant’s leases and builders cleans for new homes and commercial properties.
We place particular emphasis on detail cleaning in order to obtain good results and to present a builders product in its best possible condition. We treat a customer’s home as if it were our own. Rubbish can also be removed from the property, anything from household garbage to old cars.
We can offer cleaning at a fixed price or at an hourly rate depending on the customer’s requirements.

Simple Steps to Care For Your Health & Your Carpet
Clean carpets mean healthy homes. Did you know that your carpets can affect your families health? Indoor air can be more polluted than outdoor air. The main reason is because indoor air is trapped, rarely does it get completely replaced. Outdoor air on the other hand gets blown away & new clean air replaces it.
Provide efficient entry matting to reduce tracked in soil at all entrances.
Vacuum routinely with a well maintained, good quality vacuum that will clean and lift carpet pile.
Empty vacuum cleaner bags at regular intervals to allow for optimum performance.
Take care with spots and spills. Have your carpets professionally cleaned at least every twelve months by a trained professional. If you have animals inside, the interval may need to be reduced.
Man’s Best Friend
Dogs and cats may be our best friends, but not necessarily the best friends of our carpet. The next time you encounter an animal “accident” immediately absorb as much liquid as possible. Treat the area with one teaspoon of neutral white or colorless detergent in a cup of lukewarm water. Make sure the detergent is bleach free. Absorb this into white tissues or toweling. Then blot the area with one tablespoon clear or sudsy, uncoloured household ammonia in one cup of water. Again absorb this into toweling. Then blot the area with one part white vinegar to two parts water. Absorb the area with toweling until it is as dry as possible. Place several dry white terry cloths over the area and weigh down. Allow to dry a minimum of six hours.
If immediate action is taken to remove the animal stains, little or no change in colour should occur and that “accident” will not become apparent after your carpet has been professionally cleaned. However, if the pet “accident” is forgotten about or not discovered they will return to haunt you. Dried urine will smell like strong ammonia when humidity is high or when the spot is rewetted. Feaces and urine can contain harmful bacteria. A spot that is small on the surface of carpeting is often many times larger on the underside. The damage caused by aged urine generally requires professional restoration and sometimes removal of the offending carpet. Kingborough Carpet Care has methods available to minimise the discolouration, disinfect the area and reduce the smell. It is often impossible, however, to completely restore the original appearance of a textile furnishing that has been damaged with aged pet urine.
