Welcome to Ingrain Technique, where you’ll find our dust free service is second to none! The passion and attention to detail is evident in our truly beautiful quality timber floor finishes. We pride ourselves on using environmentally friendly coatings, helping our environment and producing an exceptional finish on your timber flooring.

We are proud of our dust free service, which is a system developed over many years of experience acquired by Keven De Vroom, the owner of Ingrain Technique. No cleaner will be required to take care of wood dust.

Where most offer a finish of just 120 grit, at Ingrain Technique we offer a finer finish of your timber floor using up to 400 grit with our German quality equipment.

We have also developed a technique to bring out the tannins in the timber, bringing even more colour and feature to your timber floor.

It is our belief that a truly sleek finished timber floor should not have the typical “tell-tale” sanding lines, chatter marks, drum divots, scratches or undulations around the edges or heavy swirl marks left throughout the finish. Nor should you need to obtain the services of a cleaning contractor to remove all the fine dust once the floor is completed.


Getting Started

We start with installing your new timber floor using tongue and groove solid timber flooring or perhaps removing existing floor coverings to uncover your existing timber floor.

Technique – achieving the “magic”

---

At Ingrain Technique, we use the German “Lagler” range of floor sanding machinery together with a “Polivac” rotary sander which in our experience are the most effective at dust collection. We start with a bigger grit of around 40 and progress through an average of 220 grit, however we are able to go as fine as 400 grit. The edger and rotex orbital are coupled into a commercial dust extraction unit to further ensure an absolutely dust free service.

During the final sanding process we build up heat beneath the rotary, using the Polivac rotary sander, this polishes existing tannins through the grain of the timber, highlighting the true beauty of grains, colour and texture of the timber.

We then vacuum to ensure a dust free surface before we apply the finish.


Finishing – enhance the warmth and beauty

To give your floor its luster we apply the selected finish in matt, satin or gloss - 3 coats for domestic use and 4 coats for commercial premises.

No cleaner will be required to take care of wood dust typically electro-statically clouded over walls, windows , architraves, paintings, fans, air conditioning units and kitchens.
