James Michael Heaney has many years experience in interior design and decoration, graduating from RMIT in the late 1980s.

James teaches interior design and decoration, colour and furnishings at BoxHill TAFE and Swinburn TAFE and other institutes around Melbourne and Geelong.

In the late 1980s James worked with MYER Limited stores, designing and decorating their furnishing floors before moving into their Interior design section where he was responsible for the total design concept and decorating of their clients homes.

In the mid 1980s he worked as a consultant, designing lighting plans for Custom Lighting and from 1990 has worked on designing interior design concepts for homes and commercial premises.

In 2000 James worked in Prague fitting out hotels before returning to Melbourne to offer his design services.

James has an excellent affinity with concepts, colour, lighting, furnishings, material finishes, spaces and ability in understanding the client’s needs.

He works closely with the clients to develop their personal unique style ... unlike the statuesque he believes, "one style doesn't fit all" and is at home designing contemporary, classical or traditional interiors. His experience and versatility is unsurpassed.
