Why Should I Use a Ducted Vacuum?

Did you know that by converting to a ducted vacuum system, you can cut your cleaning time, improve your living standards and reduce allergens in the air?

What is a Ducted Vacuum System?

A ducted vacuum can help take the stress out of cleaning your home! While a standard vacuum cleaner involves pulling a portable motor unit around the house as the cleaning is done, a ducted vacuum is incorporated into your home so there are no cords or units to lug around as you clean. Simply plug the hose into the wall outlet and begin!

What are the Benefits of a Ducted Vacuum System?

There are a multitude of benefits when it comes to converting to a ducted system, including:

  • They are much easier to use: There is no motor unit to pull around the home.

  • They are quieter: The motor unit is located away from the living area of the home, usually in the garage. Our power units operate at an average of 60 db.

  • Higher cleaning power: The cleaning power of the motors is far greater than portable units.

  • Healthier: They offer 100% filtration (Not 99.9 but 100%) as every vacuumed item is totally removed from the living area.

  • They add value to your home: The actual value of your home will be increased if you include a ducted vacuum system in it.

  • They offer a cyclonic bag-less collection system: This includes a moving, self cleaning filter for maximum performance at all times as there is no bag filling up or filter needing to be washed or replaced.

  • They do not need to be emptied as often: The bin usually only needs to be emptied 2 to 3 times a year.

How is My Ducted Vacuum System Installed?

Ducted vacuum systems are ideally fitted into any new home at the time of construction. The timing here is very important with a quote normally supplied off the floor plans before building commences. The installation commences with a pre-lay of the initial pipes positioned prior to the slab being poured. From there, the pipe work is extended as the construction progresses. With a framed home the installation commences once the roof is installed. Want to install it into your existing home? That's ok! Most existing homes can also be ducted successfully.

What Do I Need to Know About Hoses and Connections?

Hoses and tools vary based on your needs. A wise choice is to stick to quality, as they not only operate more efficiently, but also last longer. We have a selection of tools available for all types of surfaces to be cleaned, though the basis types are usually adequate.

Our ducted vacuum systems function efficiently, as we ensure the following points:

  1. The inlets must be located so as to enable the hose to easily reach all areas of the home – this is very important and no excuses are acceptable for failing here.

  2. The amount of rigid pipe required for the entire job is calculated and the appropriate power unit selected. This is vital for good cleaning and long motor life.

  3. All components are of the highest quality and not price driven. Our systems do work.

Are They Expensive?

All of our systems operate with no consumables, use low consumption high performing motors, and are quiet and environmentally friendly. Generally they are not as expensive as you might think.
