Harvest the sun.....
Ecoheat uses solar collector panels to harvest the sun's energy and deliver winter months. During summer months, once the outside night air has cooled, it then delivers this cooler air into the building.
Ecoheat can provide a dramatic reduction in operating costs versus conventional heating and cooling systems.
In mild climates during the winter ecoheat operates as a solar heating and ventilation system. There is minimal or no need for any other heating.
In extreme climates, ecoheat will need support from conventional system but at substantially reduced costs.
The Australian climate is ideally suited to harvesting the sun's energy and the ecoheat system has proved its effectiveness for more than 10 years.
How does it work?
Each hour of operation delivers approximately 240 cubic metres of fresh air - equivalent to the air volume of a small house - by replacing the internal stale air.
Winter Warming
Fresh air is pumped into the inlet solar panel where it is heated instantly. The heated air flows via ducting into the building's interior, raising the internal temperature in accordance with a pre - set thermostat setting.
Summer Cooling
During the summer months ecoheat monitors the drop in night temperatures and is automatically activated to deliver the cooler night air into the building. This cool fresh air then rapidly reduces the internal temperature providing a pleasant relief from the heat.
Running Costs
The only electrical energy required by ecoheat is a fan with a running cost of around 10 cents a day.
In addition, the environment benefits from reduced carbon emissions by 3 - 6 tonnes per year.
