    Dynamic Renovations

Deciding which company to choose for your renovation project might not be easy, but it is important.

Getting it wrong can lead to all sorts of headaches. Getting it right will leave you with a new room or outdoor area that you look forward to being in, as well as feeling good about the investment you have made.

Like most industries, there are those that do the right thing and genuinely care about the quality of their work and there are those that think only about the short term, in other words – are just out to make a quick buck.

    7 Reasons to Choose Us:
    1. We only use licensed people.
Aside from our own qualifications (click here to read more), all renovation companies have to work with other specialised trades people (e.g. plumbers & electricians). Making sure we only use those that have the appropriate qualifications and experience means we avoid taking risks that can lead not only to poor quality work, but potentially dangerous installations. Having been in business in Canberra for over 18 years, we have the luxury of only using trades people we know and have worked with for some time.

    2. We only use top quality products.
This matters... a lot! Aside from new renovation projects, we also get quite a few calls to inspect problems with existing installations that often (too often) have only been installed recently. Like we said, there are those operators that seem to literally do everything possible to either increase their profit margin, or give the appearance of slightly cheaper quotes to get the work. When shortcuts are taken with glues, materials and especially waterproofing products, the costs in the long term (and quite possibly the short to medium term) will always be higher than the small savings made in the beginning. Poor waterproofing can not only cause significant damage to your bathroom, but also to the house structure itself, which can be very expensive to repair and will be picked up on during a building inspection prior to selling.

    3. The price we quote is the price you pay – No bill shock!
This is a practise that seems to be on the rise in recent years. Customers receiving an invoice at the end of the project that is significantly higher than the original quote. Often these bills are either not itemised, or are itemised in a way that is not accountable. While it is entirely reasonably that unexpected problems can occur during a renovation, such as water damage, that simply couldn't be detected during the quote. However, if this does happen we always consult with you first, explain the situation (including showing you the problem) and re-quote based on the unforeseen circumstances - making sure you approve any extra labour or materials that are required. Having said all that, we are very good at quoting and discovering most issues before we start.

    4. Treating your home with respect.
Most people don't have the time or money to find alternative accommodation when having renovations done. We are very mindful of the importance of having the rest of your home clean and liveable during this period. The only area inside your home that should show any evidence of building work being done, is the area being renovated.

    5. Getting it done quickly.
Yes, making sure the rest of your home is unaffected by the renovation is important and something we believe we do well, but nothing beats getting the project finished as quickly as possible. A lot of our clients seem surprised by how quickly we get the project completed. Whether it be from past experiences or industry reputation, people often seem to expect it will take longer than it does. When there are delays that are out of our control, such as bad weather for outdoor renovation work, we will always keep you up to date with where the project is up to and when we expect it to be completed.

Our average time for a new Kitchen from start to finish (fully functional) is one week. For new bathrooms the average is two weeks (usable).

    6. After sales support – Backing up our work.
The nature of the work we do means that there can sometimes be small teething and maintenance issues with new renovations. We are upfront about this, anyone that claims otherwise either isn't being honest or is inexperienced. Floors and walls move and settle over time when a different load is placed on them (for example new cabinets or tiles). If a slight adjustment is needed, it will usually be minor and we will see to it quickly.

    7. Quality work – Value for money.
The reason we go to the lengths we do is to produce quality work that represents true value for money. Our kitchens and bathrooms are amazing and our decks and pergolas really do transform the look and feel of any outdoor area. We aren't the cheapest, but we definitely aren't the most expensive in Canberra and we know most people will be surprised by what we can do for their budget.
