The Process
At Desyn Homes we listen to our clients, we work for our clients and we deliver to our client’s expectations. One size does not fit all. Whether it is a group of investment properties, a new family home or renovation, each project is managed with support, precision and tenacity.
1. Meeting to Develop Approach
At your first meeting with Desyn Homes you will speak directly with our General Manager to ensure we gain an intimate understanding of your home or investment goals. This meeting will assist in developing a customised plan of action to meet your brief.
If design of a property is required, the initial meeting will involve a consultation regarding considerations such as eco-friendly options, lifestyle requirements, budget etc.
If you have an existing plan, or are working with an architect, Desyn Homes will work with you and your chosen team to ensure we understand the thinking and objectives behind the design. This allows us to customise our services, refine the plans and provide insight into likely construction costs.
Regardless of design approach, during the first meeting we will also consider other elements required, such as managing council approvals, engineering needs, certifications, arborists (for potential tree removals) etc.
2.Consultation schedule
Following the initial meeting, you will be presented with a consultation schedule of fees for consideration. If you are happy with the suggested method of approach you will be invited to sign-off on our recommendations and the process will begin. Alternatively, our General Manager will be happy to work with you to tailor any required adjustments.
We are up front and transparent with costs. Desyn Homes is committed to bringing honesty back to building. We do not inflate fees on external services such as architects, arborists or council approvals. We encourage you to review the variation orders of our competitors and the quality of any extra services provided, to ensure they are comparative.
At this stage, you will be introduced to your Project Manager, who will be charged with the coordination of construction on your property. We become personally invested in the success of all of our projects and, to ensure you are informed and happy at all stages, you will have 24/7 access to your Project Manager and our General Manager.
3. Approvals
At this point, in consultation with you, we will start working on the development of your design and/or plans for construction. You will be supplied with a quote for the planning approval. Following council development approval, Desyn Homes will provide you with a fixed price contract.
4. Construction
During construction, you will have direct access to your Project Manager at any time, and regular progress meetings will be scheduled. Additionally, you will be able to view progress images of your property online.
5. Handover
On completion of your property, we will conduct a thorough review to ensure we are delivering on your expectations and our promises. Once this final check is complete, we will meet you at your property for a personal inspection and presentation of warranties, instructions, certificates and keys.
