John McNidder formed Claytek in 1991 and since then has advised many of the major Victorian clay/concrete brick and paving manufacturers, builders, landscapers/paviors, brick cleaners and the general public on the construction of rigid and flexible semental and flag pavements, mortar quality, stain identification, removal and prevention.
Claytek also provides the distribution of mortar and grout additives, movement and expansion joint materials, joint binders, cleaning solvents and cleaning products and has a paver cleaning and sealing division.
John McNidder is a ceramic technologist having obtained a Management Diploma in Heavy Claywares/Certificate in Ceramic Technology at the College of Ceramic North Staffordshire Polytechnic, Stoke on Trent, UK.
He was invited by the Clay and Brick Paver Institute and Homesglen Institute of TAFE to be a member of the consultative advisory committee that developed Homesglen Institute of TAFE's Segmental Paviors Training Program and Cleaning Brick/Masonry Surfaces Program. He sits on their Segmental Paviors Training Program review committee and is a current lecturer of their Cleaning Brick/Masonry Training Program
John McNidder has given papers on paving, brick/paver characteristics, cleaning and sealing at anumber of industry education seminars coducted by Homesglen Institute of TAFE since 1990.
