Carpentry By Andrew - Outdoor Lifestyle
PERGOLAS, VERANDAHS GAZEBOS & CARPORTS: From design through to completion,Andrew will guide you through the process of your design, plans are then drawn for Council. After approvals the materials are delivered for you to paint or we can if you dont want to do it yourself. Your frame is erected, then the roofing material is ordered, during this time any touchups on the paintwork can be done. The roofing is then installed and any add ons can be completed (infill walls, screens etc). there are numerous styles to choose from to start with, Gable, Flat, Hip roof, multi directional, curved, colorbond roofing, polycarbonate, twin wall polycarbonate, shadecloth, solar battens. advice is also given on making the most of your investment, how to reduce the effects of the environment, how big should the area be? how can I maximise the use of the area (maybe creating an opening through a wall to gain entry from the house to
your new entertaining area).
DECKING: From design through to completion, every aspect is included. Deck framing built from treated pine, selected
hardwoods or galvanised steel framing, the frames are supported on concrete footings and braced to resist movement. Decking boards are selected Australian hardwoods, Kapur, or manmade boards as required, the boards are secured to the frame through the face of the board with galvanised twist grip nails, or stainless steel deck screws, another option that provides a sharp stylish look is fastening through the edge of the
board at an angle. All Hardwood decks will be treated with a complimentary coat of deck oil to beautify and protect you investment. Steps can be built the same time as your deck providing access to other areas of your garden.
Ballustrade, seating, or features can also included.
FEATURE SCREENS: Screening is a great way to provide privacy, create a back drop for planting, create secluded areas of the garden or to provide shelter from the weather. Build your screen and your deck out of the same material. Curved screens can also flow down to be incorporated into the deck. Screens can be built allowing the warmth from winter sun to penetrate whilst blocking the heat from Summer (its all in the angle).
