Welcome to Canning Floorcovering Centre, where we can cater for all types of floorcoverings for your home or business. Established in the 60’s by John Van Dyk senior, Canning floorcovering has evolved with their large client base enabling them to give the best advise and products to make sure every job is done to the highest standard expected by our clients. Today we are still a family run business with john's son running the business with his daughter following in his foot steps.

We have been involved with numerous community jobs and local council work for many years. Canning Floorcoverings also manage large commercial jobs from schools to shopping centres. We carry Australias top brand suppliers such as Godfrey Hirst carpets and signature vinyls, timber by utf and a huge range of rugs in all sizes. We also carry a large range of room size remnants, which is a great way to get a bargain.

We have a huge showroom with a warehouse on premises located in Armadale for you to look around. We also offer on site carpet binding to turn your leftover pieces into mats. We carry a huge range of stock from carpets to vinyls in our warehouse so you can be assured that your next job can be done quicker.

Regardless of the job size or location we can come to you and supply a free measure and quote so you know what the costs involved are before you start your new floor. If you can’t make it to our showroom then we can take samples to you north or south of the river. So if you need new floorcoverings or just need advise send us an email or give us a call and one of our friendly staff members will help you with your enquiry. We are open between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12 noon Saturday. We also accept all major credit cards and American Express.

Vinyl

Laminate

Much more than simply an economical alternative to timber flooring, today's laminate allows the designer in you to be set free, with a range colours and designs not constricted by that which nature can produce. A high scratch resistance makes laminate suitable for almost any area. One of the most important things you need to know about Laminate flooring (commonly known as floating floors) is its durability, scratch and moisture resistance.

We carry ranges from companies like Balterio, UTF, Witex and Pegulan who have been established in the Australian market place for years now. This means that the customer has the safety of knowing that there will always be company backing for all of the customers needs.

Timber

When you’re building or renovating, elegant flooring that’s also practical can add substantial value to your home, in addition to looking and feeling great. Timber is a popular non-allergenic flooring option. We carry UTF’s large range of engineered woods which include an Australian species range to compliment any Australian home. Very durable and re-sandable which makes this product very long lasting.

If you have carpet leftovers at home that you want made into mats just come in we do them on site. Any size or styles bring it in for a free quote.

Carpets

We carry a large range of Australian made carpets from Godfrey Hirst and Hycraft. We also carry a diverse range of carpet from other leading Australian manufactures. The warmest & cosiest option to floor coverings, carpet is one of the most versatile floorcoverings coming in a huge variety of colours, styles, patterns & textures in Wool, Nylon & Polypropylene fibres.

The 3 main fibres are;

• Nylon: Man made and tough. Suitable for most areas. Very popular due to its variety of colour and styles. Nylons have stain removers applied at construction, making it very easy to clean and maintain.



• Wool: 100% natural fibre. Has the best appearance retention of all fibres. No added chemicals for cleaning as it has natural cleaning properties. Has a soft touch even in loop pile construction.



• Polypropylene: Synthetic yarn. The cheapest of all three. Very durable and tough. Most popular for rentals or people who want to cover a games room.

3 main constructions of carpet are;

• Loop pile: good for rental and commercial due to hardwearing construction.


• Plush pile: Soft to touch and very clean looking ideal for formal lounges and bedrooms.


• Twist pile: Also soft but has a rougher look making it more serviceable.
