Bijl Architecture is a dynamic architectural practice undertaking residential projects and interiors, and commercial, retail and public work. Our expertise and experience ranges from new buildings to alterations and additions, refurbishment and fitouts, adaptive/heritage work and project/site masterplanning.

Bijl Architecture was established in 2002 and is based in Willoughby.
At Bijl Architecture we are focused on providing excellent architectural solutions by engaging in a collaborative design approach with our clients. We believe that the “loose fit” of inherent flexibility and intentional longevity are the key to creating sustainable architecture, from the viewpoints of aesthetics, functionality and the total environment.
Our Services
We provide the full range of architectural services, including initial concept designs, masterplanning and feasibility studies, DA and CC documentation, detailed construction documentation, conducting tenders, contract administration, design scope management, site inspections and post-completion services.
Bijl Architecture has demonstrated expertise in quality residential projects, ranging from new dwellings, alterations + additions and interiors, to apartment building refurbishments and multi-residential developments. In particular, the practice has extensive experience in dealing with contemporary renovations and restorative treatments to heritage and period buildings.
To commence the architectural design process we offer a fixed fee Concept Design Report service whereby design options are prepared alongside Council information, projected time programs and initial cost estimates, allowing for an excellent overview of the opportunities available to any individual project. From this point our clients then have the confidence to continue with a developed design process leading to the lodgement of a DA.
