Why Choose Vinyl Wrap Kitchen Doors?

Kitchen Cabinets

Your cabinet doors are actually quite a large feature of the kitchen and the right doors can mean the difference between drab and fab. You don’t just want doors that look good though. You want doors that will stand up to the rigours of the kitchen as well.  Vinyl wrap doors are perfect, and here’s everything you need to know. For more information or to take a look at the range that is available, speak with your local kitchen supplier.

What is a Vinyl Wrap Door?

A vinyl wrap door is one where the door is made up of an MDF panel that has been cut, routed and profiled as desired and then glued and covered with a vinyl form that is pressed to the door using heat and vacuum. The back of the door is usually pre-laminated.  Vinyl wrapped doors have no joints as the vinyl goes all the way around the door.

Vinyl Wrap Doors are Versatile and Attractive

One of the biggest benefits of vinyl wrap doors is the fact that they are so versatile.  The MDF panels that the vinyl is attached to can be designed to a number of profiles, from simple flat doors through to doors with ornamental routing.  The vinyl itself comes in a large range of colours including solid and wood grain colours and the finish can be smooth, textured or even gloss.  In some cases, you’d have trouble telling a vinyl wrap door apart from a polyurethane door! What this means is that you can choose a vinyl wrap door to suit any style kitchen and in any colour that you want, practically.

Vinyl Wrap Doors are Durable and Low Maintenance

Another reason why viny wrap doors are such a great choice for the kitchen is the fact that they are both durable and low maintenance, which is what you want of any materials that you use in such a high traffic area.  Vinyl wrap doors are scratch resistant, and they won’t chip.  As well, they also seal out moisture, so you don’t have to worry about the doors warping or swelling.  Vinyl wrap doors also need nearly no maintenance at all – just wipe them clean and check the hinges occasionally.  They never need to be repainted or anything like that.

Vinyl Wrap Doors are Easy to Clean

Another benefit of vinyl wrap doors is the fact that they are so easy to clean.  All you need to do is to give them a wipe with a soft sponge and some soapy water, and then dry them off afterwards.  There is no need to use heavy or harsh cleaners at all – in fact, doing so may actually damage the door!   If you have stubborn stains or marks that won’t come off with the soapy water, just gently wipe these off using methylated spirits.
