They are also the easiest types of doors to repair, and you can change the look of them in the future if you wish.

PVC Entrance Doors

If you want the look of a painted timber door without the hassles of maintaining it, you can’t go past a PVC entrance door.  PVC entrance doors are very classic in appearance and they suit most types of home.  They are incredibly environmentally friendly, have great insulation, and will never rot, warp or fade.  The most you’ll ever have to do maintenance wise is to give them a clean occasionally.

Steel Entrance Doors

If you are after a door that is incredibly secure, incredibly strong and incredibly low maintenance, you can’t go past a steel door, which is alternatively known as a hollow metal door.  You do have a choice of designs and colours in these doors but they may be fewer than the options available with other types of entrance doors.  One of the biggest benefits of steel entrance doors is how cost effective they are.

Aluminium Entrance Doors

Another type of entrance door you can choose from is the aluminium entrance door.  Aluminium doors utilise an aluminium frame with glass inside or alternatively, an inner core that is covered by an aluminium “veneer” so to speak which is then finished as desired.  Aluminium entrance doors are available in a range of colours and finishes and they are incredibly low maintenance.
