Looking to enhance your home with trendy tiles? Then consider these top 5 on-trend tile designs. Whether it’s in the kitchen, bathroom, or elsewhere in the home, these tiles scream style.

1 Mosaic makeover

We often think of mosaics as little square tiles. But some of the trendiest tiles for 2015-2016 are mosaics in an alluring array of shapes and sizes.

Think circle, oval, triangle, and even hexagon shapes to tile small or sizeable spaces. These cast creative, edgy patterns and provide a focal point on bland walls.

2 The bolder the better

So far this year, gray has dominated the tile world. And into 2016, stylists say the trend will continue with charcoal and soft blacks making an appearance. These bold neutral hues work in any area – and are perfectly paired with white, metallic, and bright colours.

3 Focal floors

Wall tiles are the obvious starting point, but don’t forget about the floor. This year, eye-catching floor tile designs are all the rage. Taking tiles to the floor allows you to retain a simpler, more neutral wall colour, while still adding interest in the kitchen or bathroom. Opt for larger tiles in contrasting combos such as black or gray and white – or be brilliant with brights.

4 Down to Earth

Neutral, natural tiles are a key trend that’s sticking around. Opt for earthy, natural tones such as wood-look, stone, slate, and other materials and colours that calm and warm the space and balance a more clinical, stark scheme.

Be sure to stick to soft, matte finishes to complete the look; high glossy tiles aren’t as popular this season.

5 Geometric glory

Rounding out our list are strategically placed geometric tiles. These capture attention in rooms with limited space to play, and add vibrancy and texture. Use triangular or octagonal shapes to make creative patterns on the walls.
