The latest in pool technology, ZEGO Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) has quickly evolved as the modern alternative for building energy efficient lifestyle and leisure pools.
Offering an innovative approach to pool construction, ZEGO ICFs are a stay in place insulated formwork system for casting reinforced concrete. Primarily used for energy efficient house construction, the versatility and multiple applications of ZEGO ICFs are easily transferred into pool construction. ZEGO ICFs are ideal for lap pools, domestic & commercial facilities, spas and water tanks due to the ease of material handling, speed of construction and heat retention properties of the foam.
ZEGO swimming pools can also be incorporated into the house project building your house and pool in one! This significantly reduces time, labour and cost. In addition, it will save 50-80 percent of heating and cooling energy costs reducing the ongoing costs of pool maintenance.
A ZEGO pool is constructed in a similar manner as a house. You simply build the walls of the pool off a concrete slab; place the appropriate reinforcement and core fill the ICF blocks with concrete. Foam coving is used to curve the base of the pool. The waterproofing is then applied followed by an internal finish such as quartzon, tiling, pebblecrete or a pool liner. Water features may be designed to suit any taste and plumbing and services are easily installed in the traditional way.
ZEGO provide engineered drawings for all soil conditions, wet edge construction and sites requiring piering. From lap pools to freeform, any design can be accommodated. You’re only limited by your imagination and budget!
