Are you considering updating your kitchen with some new colour? It can be difficult knowing what to choose so we’ve hunted down some of the colours that will be popular in the kitchen in the coming seasons.
If neutrals are your style in the kitchen, try livening them up with colours that are inspired by nature – soft taupe colours, avocado-inspired greens, and water-like blues. This will look great against timbers and stone finishes.
For something brighter and that really makes a statement, choose hotter colours such as burnt oranges, rich yellows, and earthy reds. Think of the colours that you would find in an exotic spice market in India or Morocco and bring them into your kitchen.
Maybe something that creates a subtle feel yet still makes a statement, look to colours such as charcoals, smoky browns, and violet-tinged greys.
Yellows are becoming more important while blues are starting to fade into the background. Orange colours, greens, and honey tones are also becoming very popular. Kitchens are also breaking away from their block colours, with patterns and prints making their way into the kitchen design.
There are heaps of new colours available and even more ways to incorporate them into the kitchen, so the hardest thing will be choosing a colour to go with! Remember that you can always enlist the help of an interior decorator if you get confused!
