Carpets - Common Professional Repair Techniques

For small areas that is burned, stained or damaged

If you have a carpet that is burned, stained or damaged in small areas you will require a tradesman to determine whether a ‘cut and plug’ job would be appropriate. Cut and plug is a technique that involves the damaged area to be cut out and a good piece of matching carpet laid in its place.

For loose or wrinkled carpet

Over time you may have experienced that your carpet has loosened or has developed wrinkles. In this instance it may be worthwhile to re-stretch the area. By re-stretching the carpet you will increase the lifetime of your existing carpet.

For seams that have come undone

It is possible to repair existing seams that have come apart due to everyday wear and tear. In a case like this you should request your installer to perform seam repair.
